Warm, filtered water fills the colon slowly and releases through the tubing, a few rounds, on a closed FDA cleared machine. About 30 to 40 minutes on the table.
The tubing and speculum are single use and thrown away after every session. The water is filtered with carbon and UV light. The machine is heat cleaned and disinfected with hospital grade solution after every client.
You lie on a padded table in a private, quiet room, covered the whole time. The small rounded tube goes in only an inch or two. You place it yourself, then Lorna sets it and connects the tubing. It does not hurt. Some cramping can happen, which is the colon doing its job. Everything stays inside the tubing and goes straight out, so there is no smell and no mess.
There is a $50 deposit. Cancel 24 hours or more ahead and it stays as account credit for 12 months. Inside 24 hours there is a late fee. For a Monday visit, cancel or reschedule by Saturday noon. Card only, no insurance, no cash. Hours: Mon to Fri 8 to 6, Sat 8 to noon for returning clients. First visits are weekdays only. Packages of 3 and 6 visits are set up with Lorna after a first visit.
Constipation, bloating and gas, IBS, sluggish bowels, getting off laxatives, general cleansing, and weight support. Colon hydrotherapy is not a cure or a treatment for disease. Lorna reviews everyone's health history on the intake form before a first visit, and anyone with a health concern should check with their doctor.
How many visits it takes depends on the person. For a first timer Lorna often suggests a series, around six, usually starting with a few close together. She decides that with you at the first visit.
